FACT turnover for FY22 reaches Rs4133 cr

Produces 21,000 MT caprolactam after a long gap

KOCHI/April 02-2022: The fertiliser major, FACT, has achieved a turnover of Rs4133 crore for the financial year 2021-22 (FY22) representing an increase of 27 per cent compared with that in the previous year. In a statement issued to the stock market, FACT has said the company succeeded in marketing more than one million tonne of fertilisers. During the said period, FACT could restart the production of Caprolactam, and achieved production of 20835 metric tonnes (MT). While the company produced and sold 8.26 lakh MT of FACTOMFOS during the period under discussion, FACT’s ammonia sulphate production was 1.36 lakh MT, whereas the sales were at 1.44 lakh MT. Caprolactam production was to the tune of 21,000 MT, and almost the whole production was sold. Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT) restarted production of caprolactam after a gap of nearly nine years. The resumption of caprolactam production came as the country was celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav” in line with the nation’s vision of achieving self-sufficiency, said a communication from FACT on the occasion.
