The cost-to-income ratio improved to 57.7 per cent from 82 per cent.

The bank also reported a liquidity coverage ratio of 141.5 per cent as of September 30, 2026.
ESAF's latest performance marks a substantial improvement from the stress reflected in its year-ago results. The bank attributed its progress to its strategic transformation and a more diversified, increasingly secured loan portfolio.
Managing director and chief executive K Paul Thomas said secured advances now accounted for 64 per cent of the bank's total advances, reflecting its strategy of building a diversified portfolio while continuing to serve underserved customers.
