KOCHI: Kerala marked a new chapter in its digital infrastructure journey with the official inauguration of South India’s tallest IT twin towers, Lulu IT Twin Towers, developed by the Lulu Group, within SmartCity Kochi.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Rs1,500 crore project at a ceremony attended by senior ministers, industry leaders, and top executives from the technology sector.

Rising to a height of 152 metres, the 30-floor twin towers span 12.74 acres and boast a total built-up area of 3.5 million sq. ft., of which 2.5 million sq. ft. has been designated for leasing to IT and technology companies.

The project is expected to accommodate over 30,000 professionals, making it one of the largest IT employment hubs in the region.

“This is not just about infrastructure; this is about building the future. We aim to create over 50,000 tech jobs in the next three years through Lulu IT Parks,” said Abhilash Valiyavalappil, CEO of Lulu IT Parks.

He emphasized Kochi’s strategic edge in terms of skilled manpower, cost advantage, connectivity, and living standards – positioning the city as a rising global tech destination.

Robotic parking system

A key highlight of the complex is the world’s largest automated robotic parking system, with capacity for 4,500 vehicles – including 3,200 robotic slots and 1,300 conventional spaces across three levels. The campus also features a helipad, adding to its aerial accessibility.

Designed with employee wellness and collaboration in mind, the project includes a three-floor amenity block housing a 2,500-seat food court, crèche, gym, bank, business lounges, and a 600-seat conference hall. Landscaped green podiums with walking trails and open-air seating further enhance the work environment.

“We’ve ensured the entire ecosystem is future-ready, geared to support global tech and AI-driven enterprises,” said Abdul Rehman, Director and COO of Lulu IT Parks.

Lulu currently operates Cyber Towers 1 and 2 at Kochi Infopark, employing around 13,800 professionals. With four companies already operational at the new Twin Towers, the project sets a benchmark for Kerala’s digital ambitions and private sector-led infrastructure development.
