THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Government has decided to constitute a Complaint Redressal Cell to address the queries being received regarding the donations received by the chief minister’s distress relief fund (CMDRF) and related matters.
The move is in the wake of the Wayanad natural disaster, where certain village clusters have entirely been washed away by the huge landslides killing hundreds of inhabitants and destroying almost everything there.
“The Cell will function under the Finance Department on a temporary basis for addressing the queries being received on CMDRF donations and related matters in connection with ‘Wayanad Landslides 2024’,”
a government notification added.
Supervising Officer
The Supervising Officer of the cell is Dr Sriram V, IAS, Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty (Finance Resources).
The other members include Suresh Kumar O B, Joint Secretary, Finance Department (Cell-in-Charge); Anilraj K S, Under Secretary, Finance Department (Nodal Officer – mobile number +91-833009 1573) and Baiju T, Section Officer, Finance (Funds) Department (Assistant Nodal Officer- e-mai:[email protected])
The nodal officer and assistant nodal officer are entrusted with the job of managing and handling the follow-up of the queries and enquiries received by the official helpline number and email.

The official notification has added that the details of mobile and email shall be displayed on the website of Finance Department and portals of CMDRF so as to enable the public to get their grievances or complaints related to CMDRF donations addressed in time.
