ABU DHABI: Etihad Airways and Greek regional carrier SKY express have officially entered into a codeshare agreement, commencing on July 14, 2025.
The strategic partnership builds upon their existing interline cooperation and substantially broadens Etihad’s network across the Greek islands and the Eastern Mediterranean region. Through this agreement, Etihad will place its flight codes on SKY express-operated routes beyond Athens, facilitating seamless travel to 24 Greek island destinations and three additional cities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The collaboration offers Etihad’s customers direct access to popular and culturally rich locations such as Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, and Kos, as well as other favoured destinations including Corfu, Paros, and Thessaloniki.
By integrating SKY express’s extensive island network with Etihad’s service to Athens, travelers benefit from streamlined connectivity under a single booking.
Executives from both airlines have emphasised the mutual advantages of the partnership. Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De, highlighted the enhanced travel opportunities for customers to explore Greece beyond its capital. Meanwhile, Gerasimos Skaltsas, Chief Commercial Officer at SKY express, affirmed that the agreement underscores SKY express’s reliability and strengthens its connectivity.
