DUBAI: Dubai Duty Free has announced a remarkable half-year sales performance for 2025, achieving a 5.34 per cent year-on-year increase with turnover reaching AED4.118 billion ($1.128 billion) in the first six months.

The figure surpasses last year’s previous record for the same period by AED208.95 million ($57.24 million), driven by strong sales growth in April, May, and early June, notably boosted by the Eid holiday and the early summer travel season.

Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi said that the robust spend per passenger reflects the dedication of the team and Dubai’s status as a key global travel hub.

Looking ahead, Dubai Duty Free is optimistic about maintaining this momentum, with plans underway for the opening of luxury boutiques by Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Cartier in Terminal 3 Concourse A. Key product categories such as perfumes, liquor, cigarettes & tobacco, gold, and confectionery sustained their leading positions, with notable growth in confectionery sales, which surged by 62.70 per cent compared to the previous year.

Sales across terminals and key passenger regions also reflected positive trends, underscoring Dubai Duty Free’s continued strong market presence and promising outlook for the remainder of the year.
