DUBAI: dnata, a prominent air and travel services provider based in Dubai, has been awarded a multi-year contract by Royal Jordanian Airlines at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.

The partnership entails the delivery of a comprehensive suite of ground handling services, including passenger support, ramp activities and baggage management.

These services are crucial for ensuring a seamless travel experience for the Jordanian flag carrier’s daily flight operations between JFK Terminal Eight and Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman.

With an estimated 125,000 passengers aboard Royal Jordanian’s 360 annual flights, dnata’s experienced team is set to enhance the airline’s service quality significantly.

The collaboration extends an existing relationship that began in 2019, when dnata first provided ground handling services to Royal Jordanian in Detroit (DTW).

According to David Barker, dnata’s Regional CEO for Airport Operations in the Americas, the extension of this partnership into New York underscores dnata’s commitment to delivering best-in-class services tailored to meet the needs of its airline partners.

In the financial year 2023-24, dnata demonstrated its robust capabilities by managing over 778,000 aircraft turns, moving more than 2.9 million tonnes of cargo, and serving a staggering 123 million meals, resulting in a total transaction value of travel services amounting to $2.4 billion. Operating across several terminals, dnata employs approximately 1,100 aviation professionals at JFK, who together facilitate over 21,000 flights annually
