DUBAI: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower) has reported a significant boost in new customer registrations, marking a 41 per cent increase over the past five years.
The growth, encompassing both public and private sectors in Dubai, highlights the rising preference for Empower’s district cooling services and underscores the company’s pivotal role in the emirate’s sustainable infrastructure development.
In the first half of the current year, Empower further demonstrated its robust operational efficiency, recording 427,114 electronic bill payment transactions. This figure represents an 11 per cent increase compared to the same period last year, illustrating the effectiveness of its digital payment channels in enhancing customer convenience and satisfaction.
Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, emphasised that the company’s expanding customer base is a testament to its strategic vision and commitment to long-term growth.
“The sustained growth in operations aligns with national strategies aimed at technological advancement and improving customer experience. Empower is dedicated to fulfilling its promises to shareholders by providing high-quality, competitive services that prioritize customer ease and satisfaction.”
Further illustrating its commitment to streamlined operations, Empower approved 19,675 applications for No Objection Certificates in the first half of the year, a 21 per cent increase from the previous year. This initiative is aimed at simplifying the approval process for contractors and consultants, thereby reducing the likelihood of violations, damages, and fines, while simultaneously saving valuable time and resources.
Overall, Empower’s growth trajectory not only reflects the flourishing economy of Dubai but also highlights the increasing demand for its specialised services.
“With the customer base exceeding 138,000, Empower is well-poised to continue playing a vital role in enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of Dubai’s urban infrastructure,” Bin Shafar said.
