KOCHI: Grace Elizabeth Koshie has been appointed as part-time chairperson of Federal Bank, the largest bank in Kerala, with effect from November 07, 2O19, after serving on the bank’s board as director for six years.
In November 2013, Grace Koshie was appointed as the first woman director on Federal Bank board, and through her appointment, Federal Bank had then become one of the few listed companies to have a lady director on the board.
According to an earlier press release from Federal Bank, Grace Koshie, a postgraduate in Economics specialising in Econometrics and Monetary Economics from Bombay University, had joined Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1976 as a Direct Recruit in Grade B.
Also a PG Diploma holder in Higher Education and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), she had a stint with Sophia College, Mumbai, as lecturer.
