Aster posts Rs23.52 cr loss for 4th quarter

Company announces its first financial results after the IPO

KOCHI: The Aster DM Healthcare Ltd (Aster) has posted a standalone loss of Rs23.52 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2018, whereas the full year standalone loss was recorded at Rs87.19 crore against a loss of Rs46.71 crore the company reported for the previous full year ending March 31, 2018.

However, the group with 57 subsidiaries and four associates spread over the Middle East, mostly in the GCC, India and Philippines, has posted a quarterly (Q4) profit of Rs205.2 crore on a consolidated basis.

While the standalone revenue for the fourth quarter was to the tune of Rs134.08 crore, the full year revenue was Rs546.17 against Rs410.16 crore the company recorded for the previous year ending March 31, 2017.

The company with a paid up capital of Rs505.23 crore as on March 31, 2018, sits on a total equity of Rs2925.97 crore as the year closed on March 31, 2018. The total standalone assets of the company stood at Rs3293.77 crore as on March 31, 2017.

During the year, the company had completed its initial public offer (IPO), which saw 51.586 million equity shares with a face value of Rs10 each being issued at an offer price of Rs190 each.
