Goyal in US seeking investments in India

Discussions focused on collaboration opportunities to position India as a key player in global manufacturing

NEW DELHI:  Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has met with several US business leaders in New York, actively seeking investments in India and promoting the nation as a global manufacturing hub.

During his meetings, Goyal engaged with notable figures, including Robert Goldstein, Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock; Anup Popat, Chairman and CEO of Systems Technology Group; Sanjiv Ahuja, CEO of Tillman Holdings; Shailesh Upreti, CEO of C4V; and Ali Dibadj, CEO of Janus Henderson Investors.

Collaboration opportunities

The discussions focused on collaboration opportunities aimed at positioning India as a key player in global manufacturing. Goyal invited these investors to expand their commercial and trade presence in the country.

Additionally, the minister highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing the ease of doing business, advancing infrastructure development, implementing intellectual property rights (IPR) reforms, and prioritizing manufacturing sectors through targeted incentive schemes.
