India’s forex reserves at all-time high of $516.36b

MUMBAI: India’s total foreign exchange (forex) reserves stood at around $516.362 billion or Rs38.83 lakh crore  as of July 10, 2020, the highest ever, with foreign exchange assets (FCA) component at around $475.635 billion (Rs35.77 lakh crore).

While the gold reserves were at around $34.729 billion (Rs2.61 lakh crore), SDRs (Special Drawing Rights with the IMF) were around $1.453 billion whereas the reserve position with IMF were to the tune of around $4.545 billion as per Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) weekly statistical supplement published on July 10, 2020.
