DUBAI: SAP CEO Christian Klein unveiled the company’s ambitious plans to redefine business processes through the integration of business AI solutions across its enterprise cloud portfolio.

“These advancements not only signify a shift in operational paradigms but also promise to equip businesses with the agility and innovation necessary to excel in today’s fast-paced business landscape.”

The introduction of Joule last year marked a significant leap forward, with its integration into key platforms like SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Start, paving the way for its incorporation into various other products. This year, Joule’s footprint is set to expand further to encompass platforms such as SAP Ariba, SAP BTP Cockpit, and SAP Analytics Cloud, as well as integration into the company’s supply chain management solutions.

In addition to Joule, SAP is leveraging Meta’s Llama 3 for script generation in SAP Analytics Cloud and forging deeper partnerships with industry giants like Google, integrating advanced AI capabilities into their offerings. The collaborative efforts with partners such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, Mistral AI, and NVIDIA are reshaping SAP’s AI Core infrastructure, making it easier for developers to create generative AI applications for SAP and Microsoft 365.

Doubling AI use cases

Christian Klein’s commitment to doubling AI use cases by the year’s end underscores SAP’s dedication to enhancing user experiences across sourcing, supply chain management, customer engagement, and sales domains. With Joule expected to streamline 80 percent of common tasks within SAP’s cloud software, user productivity is projected to rise by 20 per cent by year-end.

The event also showcased Scott Guthrie from Microsoft, emphasizing the role of generative AI in boosting employee efficiency, along with NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang heralding a new era in computing as a fresh industrial revolution.

Moreover, AWS CEO Matt Garman’s announcement about the integration of AWS’s generative AI platform with SAP’s gen AI hub further underscores the collaborative efforts driving innovation in this space.

“The impact that AI is expected to have on the global economy over the next three years is mind-blowing. This is particularly true in a region such as ours, where the pace of digital transformation has been remarkable,” Sergio Maccotta, Senior Vice President, SAP Middle East Africa – South, said.
