Aramex appoints Thomas Kipp as new COO

DUBAI/October 26-2020:  Aramex, a leading global provider of comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions, has appointed Thomas Kipp as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Kipp brings over 25 years of experience across Logistics, e-Commerce and Management Consulting in Europe, Asia and North America.

As part of the senior leadership team, Kipp will be responsible for overseeing Aramex’s global operations, business development, improving operational efficiencies, and championing crucial process improvements, in line with the company’s long-term growth strategy.

A professional with diverse exposure

Kipp has joined Aramex after spending nearly 15 years with Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL), where most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President for Corporate Incubations, and led the development of new business models outside the company’s core business.

Prior to this role, he was the Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for Post, eCommerce and Parcel (PeP), where he managed strategic projects, developed and implemented technology-based process improvements and managed the brand.

In addition, he also held CEO positions across the company’s e-Commerce and Global Mail divisions. Kipp had also held senior leadership roles in global organizations, including Monitor Deloitte and BMW Group. Bashar Obeid, Chief Executive Officer of Aramex, said, “I strongly believe that Kipp’s wealth of experience and proven track record of entrepreneurial leadership will be instrumental in successfully executing our strategic vision.”
