BANGALORE/May 26-2022: Wonderla Holidays Ltd, India’s leading amusement park chain has reported a net profit of Rs8.51 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4) compared with a net loss of Rs4.87 crore recorded for the same quarter last year.
However, the company closed the financial year 2021-22 (FY22) with a lower net loss of Rs9.48 crore against a net loss
The company achieved 4.94 lakh footfall during Q4, up 59 per cent year-on-year (YoY). The gross revenue for Q4 was Rs59.44 crore, up 71 per cent YoY.
The full year witnessed a resilient performance with gross revenue having grown 198 per cent to Rs133.30 crore. EBITDA for FY22 was positive at Rs25.97 crore against a negative EBITDA earned for the previous year.
Commenting on the performance during the quarter, Arun K Chittilappilly (seen in the picture), Managing Director, said the company has delivered a strong and resilient performance during the quarter.
“Our performance is reflective of strategic focus on footfall from various segments, experimenting with new areas (park plus activities and F&B offerings), concentrated digital marketing activities (groups, walk-ins & events), and operational excellence of our business,” Chittilappilly added.
