Total payout will amount to Rs802.4 crore
KOCHI/April 18-2022: Muthoot Finance, the largest gold loan company in the country, has proposed to its shareholders cash dividend at 200 per cent of the paid-up capital of the company at Rs401.2 crore.
The dividend pay-out against each share will be Rs20 and this will translate into a total dividend pay-out to the tune of Rs802.4 crore.
“Muthoot Finance Ltd at their meeting held today (April 18) at the registered office of the company has considered and approved payment of an interim dividend of Rs20 per equity share (200 per cent),” a release issued by Muthoot Finance stated.
It added that shareholders whose names appear as on close of business hours of April 26, 2022 (a) as beneficial owners would be entitled to receive the interim dividend. The interim dividend will be paid to the shareholders within 30 days from the date of declaration.
Muthoot has been liberal in giving away cash dividends, especially since the financial year 2016-17 during which period, the company has invariably distributed dividend at 100 per cent or more. The company has given away an interim dividend of 200 per cent during April 2021 also.
