To benefit sellers with products priced under Rs50

Amazon India announced on Saturday a reduction in selling fees by up to 12 per cent across various product categories on its marketplace, effective from September 9.

This fee cut is aimed at helping sellers broaden their product offerings and stimulate growth ahead of the festive season.

The fee reductions, which range from 3 to 12 per cent depending on the category, are designed to particularly benefit sellers with products priced under Rs500.

To support enterprises of all sizes

According to Amazon India, the new fee structure responds to feedback from sellers, especially small businesses, and is part of the company’s broader effort to support enterprises of all sizes, from emerging entrepreneurs to established brands.

Amit Nanda, Director of Selling Partner Services at Amazon India, emphasized that the timing of these reductions aligns with the festive season but is not a temporary measure.

The fee decrease will allow sellers to better prepare for the Diwali shopping rush and beyond.

“This reduction will provide sellers, especially those offering affordable products, with a significant decrease in fees, enabling them to reinvest in their businesses and drive accelerated growth,” Nanda said.
